Roy B. Parson, 67, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 in Midland, Texas. He was born December 25, 1945 to Bruce and Judy Parson in El Paso, Texas. Roy was a retired Border Patrol agent and a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by both his parents and one sister Glenda Parson.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Parson of Midland; his sons, Steven Parson of Thailand, Mark Rodriguez and his wife Mauri of San Angelo; daughters, Shelley Duke and her husband Steve of Lubbock, and Paula Bass of Midland. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Shelby, Chelsea, Harley and Claudia Bass of Midland, Stephen and McKenzie Duke of Lubbock, Mikayla Martinez, Bryson and Bella Rodriguez of San Angelo, and a great-grandchild Peyton Grace
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Stephens Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11:00 am. Family will welcome visitors on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Ellis Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the U.S. Border Patrol Museum.
