She grew up mainly in Throckmorton, Texas. She also spent her teenage years in Olton and Lubbock, Texas. In Lubbock, she met and married Larry Bessire. They were married from March 1965 until his death May 2002. They had 2 daughters, Dana and Holly, 3 granddaughters, Morgan, Haylee, and Claire, and 1 great granddaughter Emorie.
Sharon and Larry owned and operated Culligan Water Conditioning and Hollyspring Drinking Water in Hobbs, New Mexico for over 30 years.
Sharon believed in telling it like it is, she was very blunt and to the point. She was also one of the most generous and loving people I have ever known. She always made sure she told you she loved you, even if you were having a disagreement.
She touched so many lives because when she cared about you she invested in you, and you could always count on her being in your corner.
We are so very sad to not have her physically anymore, but her presence is here in memories, in pictures, that big voice in my head. She is with our dad now and he’s been waiting a long time so I’m sure they have a lot to discuss. While we are sad, we do take comfort that she’s no longer in any pain or discomfort.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Bessire, her father Chester Low, her mother Joy Low, and her brother Chet Low.
She is survived by her children, Dana Brown and husband James, Holly Bessire, her grandchildren Morgan Taylor, Haylee Taylor, and Claire Brown, and great granddaughter Emorie Elkins.
She is also survived by her Aunt Martha Clifford, who was more like a sister than an aunt because they were only four years apart. Her Uncle Kenneth Bibb and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She had a lifetime of special friends and family and friends that became family. She will be missed and always remembered.
