I smile when remembering his innovated elementary days ( dumpster diving ) repairing and putting together finds and being able to work in his shop. As well, as the times from gmfl and little league days. The always rememberable love he had towards any and every animal and babysitting my dogs. I smile at the memory for the comfort and laughter when his pet parrot used to yell and slightly startly me. Forever remembered and missed bro

I consider it a privilege to have crossed paths with you. I consider it an honor to call you my friend. You kept me in stitches with the off the wall stuff you would say. You kept my OCD always going when you would leave your chips and salsa out on the counters. And I will never forget your signature trip hazard of taking off your boots and leaving them in the middle of the doorway for me. Brother I would give anything to be able to walk in the trailer and trip over those boots right now. Sterling, Thank You for everything and always having my back. I will see you again someday, Brannon.

I want to let you know how my heart breaks for your family. I didn't know Sterling well but had been doing a little bit of work with him in the oilfield. He was so kind and thoughtful every time I talked to him and was genuinely interested in helping me accomplish what I was working on. Several times when he and I were to meet he was busy helping somebody who needed help with something and he was so devoted to making other people's lives better. When having dinner one night we had been talking business and he got a call from a buddy who was needing to sell one more car to get a bonus. It just so happened that my son was with me and needed a vehicle so he sent us to meet his friend cause he wanted to help him get his bonus. He was actually considering just buying a car himself to help his friend but we then told him we thought we might be able to help, and sure enough we did. I'm sorry I didn't know him better but I wanted to send my and my son's condolences to his family. He was a genuinely good person who needed a much longer life. May God comfort you in your pain and sorrow.

Sterling was very special to us. He was part of our extended family. So many memories it’s hard to share just one. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. We will always remember his laugh. He will truly be missed. Heaven has received a jewel. Prayers of comfort for Steve, Andee, Scotty and Steven. We love you all.

From some of the first days at Rusk elementary, in first grade sterling was such a fun and great person to be around. Growning Up just a couple blocks away we were always riding bikes or finding something to get in to as kids. He went with me and my family to the fort Davis mountains and he brought some paintball guns that we were going to shoot each other with but ended up just shooting skunks at night and getting sprayed! Fast forward 15 years and me and Sterling still had just as much fun attending the Peter Frampton concert drinking beer and tearing up because we both knew all the old school songs that were played. He came to visit me about 2 years ago in Colorado and even then we still could just go back and reminisce on all the childhood memories fondly with hopes of more. Sterling was one of the most genuinely good guys I’ve ever known and the world was a better place having had him in it. I’ll love and miss you like crazy Stergood.

Stirling was like one of our kids! My heart breaks for your family and Sabrina. I’m gonna miss cooking extra and bringing him some food. He was a good boy. Always ready to help. Gonna miss driving up and chatting with him. He was loved. God be with him and all of you.
