Born October 11, 1977 7am at Midland Memorial Hospital, he weighed 10 pounds and 11 ounces. He has lived most of his life in Midland, Texas (2 years in Desoto, Texas). After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1996, Neil worked at Midco Machine, his family’s business.
Neil had Type 1 Juvenile diabetes from the age of 11 and he fought it his entire life.
He had a gift for playing musical instruments and seemed to grab anything that made a noise and could play it. He picked-up his first guitar at 11 years old and never stopped playing it his entire life. Neil and friends started a musical group in High School named True Witness and they played everywhere they could. He loved the music scene and Old country music, but rock-a-billy was his first choice. Hundreds of friends on Facebook are posting in memory of Neil.
He is survived by Thoren Tricommi his first born son and the latest Love of his Life 3 year old Lucas Gene Holcomb; grandmother Janel Holcomb; parents Judy Holcomb and Steven Holcomb and brother Lance Holcomb and many lifelong friends.
He is preceded in death by his son Hayden Connally Holcomb just short of birth who is buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 pm at Resthaven Memorial Park on Friday, May 10, 2018.
Pallbearers are Cran Ferrell, Chris Pittman, Paul Shaw, Ty Blount, Anthony Goyang, and Tom Burgess.
