He attended high school in Rising Star before joining the US Army, where he earned the rank of Corporal and served in the Korean Conflict. Thomas met the love of his life, Nancy Phillips, in 1960 through mutual friends. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on April 1, 1961.
Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He was a faithful, loving husband, daddy and Papa who cherished any time together with his family. He loved fishing together and made sure every holiday was spent together as a family.
Thomas was a faithful member of Westside Church of Christ for over 60 years. He will always be remembered as a kind, tender man who took care of people.
Thomas is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Nancy Wolf; daughter, Pam Marshall and husband Bill; brother, Junior Dale Wolf; two grandchildren, Thomas Marshall and wife Brandi and Phillip Marshall; and nine great grandchildren, Taytum Marshall, Trayce Marshall, Tymber Marshall, Twylah Marshall, Tessye Marshall, Tarlyn Marshall, Trigyr Marshall, Teagyn Marshall and Taylor Marshall.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Rada Wolf; and sister-in-law, Wanda Wolf.
The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, March 15, 2024 from 5-7 PM at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2 PM at Westside Church of Christ, followed by interment at Ellis Resthaven Memorial Park.
Howard Phillips, Jeff Scott, Kenneth Elrod, Mark Chamness, Mark Philliber, Milton Lary, Roger Bower and Sam Hanlan will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Marshall, Thomas Marshall, Phillip Marshall, Trayce Marshall, Trigyr Marshall, Lynn Mayfield and Terry Pafford.
