He was born in Miguel Auza, Zacatecas, Mexico on Dec. 17, 1929 and married Maria de la Luz Zavala in Miguel Auza, Zacatecas Mexico on June 20, 1961. He and Luz moved to Midland, Texas in 1963 where they lived the rest of their lives.
He and Luz came to the United States with the sole purpose of being able to make a better life for their children. He was a devoted father and husband who was a man of few words but through example, impressed on his sons the value of hard work and dedication.
Although he had no formal training, he was a man that found no construction or mechanical task insurmountable. With just basic tools, a sharp mind, and determination he could find a way to handle any job. He started his career doing what he had learned to do growing up... farming. Later, after moving to Texas, he began working as a poultry manager. Next, he made an amazing transition to become a sheet metal man and air conditioning installer simply by observing what others did. He perfected his craft and earned the respect of his fellow coworkers and peers. He was regarded as one of the best.
He was a long- time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Luz on November 19, 2016.
