

Wanda Ann Whitmire Hines (Maw Maw, Grandma) passed away, Thursday, February 28, 2013. Wanda was born on November 12, 1936 in Midland, Texas. She was married to Myrle Hines (Pawpaw) for 56 years before his death this past year. Wanda was an enormously talented woman. She sewed, knitted, crocheted, painted and spent the majority of her time with her passion, dolls. She was well known throughout the area as the “doll doctor”. Wanda had a gift of making her dolls literally come to life. She spent hours on each doll in order to get every detail perfect. She looked forward each year to the Permian Basin Fair and Exposition where she worked tirelessly for 30+ years with the Creative Arts division.
Wanda is survived by her three daughters: Cindy and husband Steve, Lynda and husband Chip, and Joyce and husband Gilbert; four granddaughters, Stephanie, Leska, Monica and Haley; three grandsons, Bryan, Blake and Clay; four great grandchildren, Caidance, Vance, Shelby and Noah and is expecting a new great grandbaby in July, Branson. She also leaves behind one sister, Gerry and her husband Bill; a niece, Shereata; a nephew William as well as numerous cousins and family friends.
Graveside services for Wanda are scheduled at 2:00pm for Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Pallbearers are grandsons, Clay Foster, Bryan Aaron and Blake Medina; son-in-laws, Gilbert Medina and Steve Aaron as well as Tyler Nettles and Freddy Castaneda. Honorary pallbearers are Gared McInnis. Services will be conducted by her son-in-law, Chip Foster. Online condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com. The family wants to thank Dr. J.B.
