Nanny Christine, or ‘Ninny’ as Papa Charles affectionately called her, was a licensed beautician by the state of Texas. She surrounded herself with children and preferred working as a nanny raising not only her children and grandchildren but many other children as well. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family. Nanny loved to help children read and always had a story or song to liven the mood. Nanny was very imaginative and creative. When the grandchildren stayed at Nanny and Papa’s, there was good food, home-made doll houses, scary stories and tons of coloring. Always praising and encouraging words for her loved ones.
