I have discovered this obituary and I wanted to send my condolences to the family. Aggie was my mother's best friend ( Millie Parr) . After my mom died Aggie and I became very close as well. We connected via phone and mail and I was able to visit her when I came through Richmond on vacation. 
She has been a bright light in my life all of these years and I loved her dearly. 
She would keep me informed of the George Wythe retired folks and it was wonderful to hear of her connections to our mutual friends .
Aggie loved her sons so much and I loved hearing about their lives as I knew them when they were elementary age. 
Aggie has been a life long friend to me and I am so grateful to have had such a beautiful lady in my life .

Rest in Peace my dear friend Aggie.  It won’t be the same without you here in Buckingham Wood Condos, will miss you everyday.
Aggie and I bonded over a round of bridge around the same time she lost her friend John.  We have been great friends ever since. When  Jim and I moved to Buckingham Wood in 2013 we became very close.  She adapted my grandchildren as her own and became close to my family as well.  In fact Aggie taught my Daughter - ln - Law chemistry at Monican High School many years ago.
We adapted this practice of calling each other every night and neither would rest until we found out the other was ok. Aggie was very supportive to me this past year during the passing of my husband Jim this past year.  She was always there if I needed to talk. 
I shall miss her greatly.  She was one Classy Lady always dressed to a tee and every hair in place, she was very strong willed and independent, you could never change her mind about anything..  She loved her sports and especially UVA basketball.
It won’t be the same without you Aggie .  God Bless You!

Ms Showalter was my chemistry teacher at George Wythe High School in my sophomore year, and then I was her lab assistant for the next two years, so we became good friends. She was a great teacher and fun person. We kept in touch all these years, and I would see her whenever I returned to Richmond. She was able to attend our 50th class reunion last June, all dressed up and smiling radiantly while visiting with former students. Once I had an accident in the chemistry storeroom while preparing for the next lab, spilling acid all over my clothes. I walked out, interrupting her lecture, and just said "Ms Showalter!". She immediately saw what was happening, ran into the storeroom, got a jar of sodium bicarbonate, and threw it all over me, saving me from getting burned. I proudly wore those jeans with holes for the rest of the year. Whenever there was a natural disaster anywhere in California, I could expect a phone call from her asking if we were ok, even if it was hundreds of miles away from where we live. Farewell, my friend! I will miss you. Condolences to her family.

I will miss Aggie. She had the most amazing style = every outfit ,shoes,& accessories matched and her smile always accompanied  her look. Many of the Monacan teachers including Aggie met monthly for lunch and chats. She was my smoking buddy. To her family I send my sincere condolences.
