Aileen Tilghman Thomas

THOMAS, Aileen T., 83, of Midlothian, Va., a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, passed away quietly Tuesday evening, June 12, 2012, at her residence, Spring Arbor of Salisbury. Her husband, Reide Thomas; a son, Glenn Thomas; a daughter, Julie Thomas Petty; and a brother, Dick Tilghman preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Lester Thomas and his wife, Terri; a daughter, Rebecca Neinstedt; six grandchildren, Caroline Spangenthal and her family, Natalie Thomas, Stephanie Purcell and her husband, William Neinstedt, Ryan May and Reide Petty; and a brother, Bill Tilghman. Aileen grew up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, spent most of her adult life in Virginia Beach before moving to Midlothian in 2007. She lived life to the fullest and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Her remains rest at the Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Rosewood Memorial Park.
