Ann Woodson Mountcastle

MOUNTCASTLE, Ann Woodson went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 15, 2015. Ann is survived by her husband of 55 years, Winfree Mountcastle, their four children, Pamela, David (Courtney), Timothy (Meredith) and Thomas Mountcastle. Other surviving family members include six grandchildren Morgan Biggs, Amber Moots, Madison Danner, Patrick, Parker and Catherine Mountcastle; two great grandchildren, Nicholas Biggs & Wyatt Moots and her brother, Richard Woodson (Betty).

Ann was born in Richmond, VA on June 26, 1939 and graduated with Honors from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelors in Science. She was an avid reader and loved to spend time with her family and church. Ann will be missed by so many and remembered as a loving, caring and giving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Woodson and her brother Doug Woodson.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 20 at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel at 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 9800 West Huguenot Road, Richmond, VA 23235. Interment will be private.
