She is preceded in death by both parents, John P. Galloway, Sr. and Addie M. Galloway, husbands Irvin Lewis and Jesse Ehrnfeldt, sisters Louise Peeler and Virginia (Jenny) Pitts, brother John P. Galloway, Jr., and stepson Steven Lewis.

Born and raised in Morganton, North Carolina, Ann attended Morganton High School and continued to help on the family farm. From there, she left home and moved to Illinois, where she met her first husband, Irvin Lewis, who was in the United States Army. They married on December 1, 1957, in Ashaway, Rhode Island. In the late 60’s, they moved to Virginia and stayed until Irvin’s passing in 1993. Being in the military, you make friends all over the world. Jesse Ehrnfeldt had been a long-time friend of the family. After reconnecting, Ann and Jess married in July 1996. They were together until his passing in 2021. Ann was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother, and she will be missed immensely.
