Bernice Louise Covington Richardson

Bernice Louse Richardson , age 88, of Midlothian , VA formerly of Philadelphia, PA, was born on May ,7, 1931 and gained her heavenly wings on June 9, 2019. She was the eldest child of the late John and Louise Covington of Philadelphia PA. She was a member of ST. Philips Episcopal Church in Richmond, VA and a former member of the House of Prayer Church in Philadelphia. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles Edward Richardson. Together they raised three children: Saundra Johnson (Randal), Charles Richardson, Jr. (Earline) and Karen R. Carpenter. They were loving grandparents to Tiffany Ashhurst-King, Michael Carpenter, Lauren Curtis, Charles Richardson II and Marquerite Richardson. She was the proud great-grandmother to: Jonathan King, Ashlyn King, Taylor Carpenter, Milania Carpenter, Paige Curtis and Nolan Curtis. Bernice will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A family memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27th at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 522 Main Street, Laurel, Maryland 20707. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.ALZ.org
