DABNEY, C. Elizabeth, of Bon Air, born Clyde Elizabeth Gregson, passed away March 11, 2015 at the age of 87. Clydie was born in Elizabeth City, N.C. on October 18, 1927 to Clyde Fitch Gregson and Leona Munden Gregson, the eldest of their five children. Clydie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Wirt Henry Dabney; her son, David G. Dabney; and her brother, John C.L. Gregson. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Birchett; her son, John Dabney; grandsons, Michael Dabney (Joyce) and Patrick Dabney; granddaughter, Courtney Lawson (S.G.); and great-grandson, Gates Lawson, all of Richmond. She is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Harrelson and Diane Gregson of Richmond and June Gregory (John) of Greensboro, N.C.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
