Cabell Parker Kinton

Preceding in her death were her parents, Olga and Cabell Parker and sister, Garnett Parker Thompson.

Survived by her husband, Thomas L. Kinton Jr., daughter, Catherine McCann (Kevin); sons, John Kinton, (Isa), Christian Kinton, (Jenny); grandchildren, Robbie Mitchell, (Kendall), Jack McCann, Sean McCann and Parker Kinton; and great grandchildren Isaiah, Cyrus and Ellie Mitchell.

Cabell graduated from Thomas Jefferson H.S. in 1960 and finished RPI (VCU) in 1963. After working for Miller & Rhoads, she began the adventure with her family living in Cincinnati, Atlanta , Charlotte, St. Louis and Los Angeles and finally settling back in Richmond. In Los Angeles, Cabell worked at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (NASA). In Richmond, at WRXL/NL and retired from Bon Secours - St Mary’s Hospital in 2010. Her passion in life was her family and friends, many for over 60 years.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Rd, Midlothian, VA 23113. In lieu of flowers, please donate, in Cabell’s name, to a charity of choice.
