Carol Gravely White

Carol was born to George Roosevelt Gravely and Katherine Williamson Gravely. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Dixon Gravely, and her sister, Joy Gravely. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Henry (Hal) Porterfield Adair and Peter Haynes White. Carol is survived by her nephew, George Christopher Gravely, and his wife, Deanna, as well as their children, Emily and Wesley.

Carol was a proud graduate of Richmond Professional Institute and went on to earn her Master's Degree from the University of Virginia. She dedicated her career to education, working as an elementary school teacher and later as an assistant principal within the City of Richmond, Chesterfield, and Henrico school systems. Her passion for teaching and nurturing young minds touched countless lives, and her legacy in education will be remembered by many.

Family will receive visitors at Woody's Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd, Midlothian, VA 23113, on Sunday, February 2nd, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, February 3rd, at Hollywood Cemetery, 412 S Cherry St, Richmond, VA 23220.

Carol will be remembered for her love of family, her dedication to education, and her kind spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and a life well lived.
