

She will be deeply missed by her parents, Annie Elliott, and David Brown; children, Jamie Elliott, and Jermaine McGee; her nieces, Destiny and Danajah Elliot; nephew, Darrell Elliott Jr.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Carolyn was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ruby (Clarence) Elliott, paternal grandparents and brother, Darrell Elliott.
Carolyn attended Irvington High school in Irvington, NJ. She was known by her loved ones as a fun loving and bold woman who was extremely proud of her children. People knew they could go to Carolyn for “everything” and especially “a good laugh.” She was known as the kind of woman who would drop everything for a friend, make a joke at just the right time, and found small ways to care for others. Carolyn enjoyed many passions including R&B and house music, humorous commercials, and providing compassionate care to the residents at Caswell House in Yanceyville, NC.
Her homemade Italian food and involvement in her community will be missed by many. Carolyn’s quick wit and loving humor will be remembered fondly in the hearts of her friends and family for many years to come.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, July 28, from 1:00-2:00pm with the memorial service starting at 2:00pm.
