Carol graduated from Manchester High School and Westhampton College of the University of Richmond. She was an elementary teacher in Chesterfield County for 34 years and enjoyed travel to many countries during the summers.
Carol was an active lifelong member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her sister Laura Lu Winship (Robert), of Lynchburg, her brother Charles Green Jr. of Amelia, three nephews and two nieces and 18 grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
The family will receive friends at the Woody Funeral home, Huguenot Chapel on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 11:00am at Maury Cemetery in Richmond, VA
The family is grateful to Dr. Ryan Raddin, oncologist, the personnel of Bon Secours Hospice, and Mrs. Kathy Atkins for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial to Immanuel Baptist Church, 3601 Monument Avenue, Richmond, VA 23230, is suggested in Carol’s memory.
