Carter Richardson Doran

DORAN, Carter Richardson, 64, of Richmond, beloved husband, father, and grandfather (Paw Paw), passed on to his well-deserved heavenly reward surrounded by loving family and friends on his birthday, February 24, 2013. Carter is survived by his cherished wife of 37 years, Patricia (Patti) Doran; daughters, Kimberly Westbrook, Heather Link, Margaret Hughes and her husband Brad; son, Jesse Doran; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Carly Westbrook, Taylor and Cooper Link, Kenneth Carter Doran, and Hollis Hughes; sisters, Laura Cribbs and Ellen Martin; a niece, several nephews, and many loving extended family members and friends. Mr. Doran was a proud alumni of Benedictine High School and Virginia Commonwealth University. He was the former owner of A&E Supply Company. His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and where funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, with interment at Westhampton Memorial Park immediately following.
