Daniel Marshall Ivey Sr.

Ivey, Daniel Marshall, Sr. age 85, of Midlothian, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 20, 2012. He was born December 3, 1927 to Willis and Ila Ivey in Johnston County, NC. Before retiring he was employed by the Shell Oil Company in Richmond, VA. He was a member of Bethany Place Baptist Church, Richmond, having served on the deacon board. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Marshall Ivey, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen Joyce Ivey; sons, Donald M. Ivey (Staci) of Chesterfield and David M. Ivey (Laura) of Lexington SC; brother, Max Ivey (Dot); sister, Thelma Johnson; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Bethany Place Baptist Church, 1501 South Providence Road, Richmond. Entombment to follow at Dale Memorial Park.
