Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Berenice B. Phelps.
She is survived by her sisters, Margaret E. Keene (Gene), Donna P. Ogle and Kathryn P. Crump (Jeff). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Jeffrey E. Keene (Andrea), Mary Elizabeth Braxton (Kevin), Jennifer Lynn Bowen, Jessica Leigh Bryant, Jeffrey W. Crump II (Michelle) and many cousins.
Debbie was born on November 25, 1950 in Chesterfield County, Virginia and was a lifelong resident of the City of Richmond, except for her years spent on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She had a lifelong love of all animals. During her stay on the Eastern Shore, she worked taking care of horses. Upon returning to Richmond, she was employed at a local pet store for many years.
Debbie's love of family was great. She was especially close to her sisters, nieces and nephews. She delighted in being with them as children and watching them grow into adults with children of their own.
Graveside services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richmond Animal League.
