He was preceded in death by his father, Vance Cooper, his mother Maxine Payne, his wife Doris Lee Fuller Payne and his daughter, Denise Payne Bowles.
He is survived by one daughter, Doreen Kay (Payne) Myers, four grandchildren, Jeffrey Vance Myers, Allison Paige Myers, Kristen Bowles Johnson, Katie Bowles Cavender and five great grandchildren.
Dennis was born in Niles, Michigan on December 30th, 1929. He proudly served 26 years in the US Air Force before retiring. He later retired from the V.A. administration after 20 years of service.
Dennis enjoyed traveling, golf, reading and his membership in the Southwest Church of Christ in Austin, TX.
His family would like to thank the community of Chesterfield Heights Independent Living and the kind and thoughtful people at SunRise Senior Living where he spent his final days.
