

Dianne Marie Cain Cruise passed away peacefully with her husband and sisters by her side on January 2, 2016 in the late afternoon following a four year battle with ovarian cancer. She left this world as she lived in it with grace and dignity. She was preceded in death by her mother Frances Slate Cain. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ralph L. Cruise Jr. of Richmond; Father, Roy Nelson Cain; sisters Janet Glynn Cain and Melanie Cain Huffman and husband John; nephews, Tyler, Brandon, and Hunter Huffman; mother-in-law Frances Green Cruise of Norfolk and sister-in-law Teresa Ann Cruise of Miami Beach. She was admired and loved by all who knew her.
A native of Virginia, Dianne was a graduate of Longwood College with a major in Mathematics. She was retired from the Department of Motor Vehicles after 30 years of service as an Information Systems Project Leader. She was an active choir member at Winfree Memorial Baptist Church, enjoyed traveling and had numerous hobbies.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Woody’s Funeral Home, at 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Virginia. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 PM at Winfree Memorial Baptist Church, 13617 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, Virginia. The interment will be private.
