

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Thomas D. Bridgers, Sr., her parents, Benjamin Franklin Gray, Jr. and Dorothy Darden Gray, her brother John W. Gray and his wife Lynette.
She was born in Norfolk, Va. and graduated from Maury High School, Class of 1950. She is survived by her beloved son, Thomas D. Bridgers, Jr. and special daughter-in-law Teresa Hanger; dear nephews, J. Wesley Gray, Jr., Barry Gray, Jeffrey Gray, Billy, Bobby and John Tomlinson and their families.
Dot worked for the Va. Dept. of Taxation in the early years of computer automation and systems analysis. She designed and developed the Sales & Use Tax systems programs in 1966 and was appointed by Gov. Holton to the Committee to Study Consolidation of Computers in the Commonwealth in 1973. She later worked at the Dept of Management and Analysis and Systems Development and also at the Va. Water Control Board before retiring in 1991 after 33 years of service.
She loved God, her family and her friends. She left behind precious memories of all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Westhampton Memorial Park, Gaskin Road and Patterson Avenue, on Thursday, May 30, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Disabled American Veterans. Online condolences maybe made at www.woodyfuneralhome.com
