MESSINA, Dorothy "Dot," of Richmond, Va., formerly of Pottsville, Pa., died October 20, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rocco Messina; granddaughter, Jodi Messina Mylie; four brothers and six sisters. Survivors include three children, James A. Messina of Greensboro, N.C., Dorothy Alice Messina of Newark, Del., and William Stuart Messina of New Milford, Conn.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Dot worked as a beautician, was an avid ballroom dancer and enjoyed cooking. A Mass of Christian Funeral will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010, at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Drive.
