

Eena Karras, loving wife of Thomas Hiroki Karras and cherished friend of all who came into her life, passed away Sunday, May 27. Eena was born June 30, 1976 in Greenfield Park, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Kamal Singh and the late Maninder Preet Singh.
Eena is survived by her beloved husband Thomas; her mother Kamal Singh; her sister Mona Manchanda, brother-in-law Vikram Manchanda, niece Diya, and nephew Jay; her sister Naveena Singh and nephew Nabil; her sister Meeka Singh; her brother Shubhnit Singh; her father-in-law Hans Dieter Karras and partner Lucius Ang; and her brother-in-law Daniel Kai Karras.
Eena graduated from the University of Windsor, Windsor, Canada in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. She completed a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Maryland. She was employed as a senior supervising engineer at Pepco Holdings Inc. in Washington, D. C.
Eena had the innate ability to touch every life that she ever came in touch with. Her zest for life and her deep sense of concern for everyone’s welfare made her an endearingly sweet and affectionate person. Her warm and contagious smile, her glowing angelic face, and her sweet and melodious voice will be very deeply missed. She will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her as a beautiful young woman who lived a life of principle, joy, love, family and friends.
Eena’s life will be celebrated in a service at St. Luke Lutheran Church at 7757 Chippenham Parkway, Richmond, Virginia on Saturday, June 2 at 11 AM. The family invites friends to join them at a luncheon reception in the church hall following the service.
