I am so sad to learn that Elaine passed away. I met her at Sunrise in Fairfax where my mother, Lola Place, was an acquaintance. She and I had lunch out a few times and she was a real friend to me.

We have such fond memories of times (Myrtle Beach, Clearwater, Skiing trips) with Reid and Elaine back in the early 70's. We lived across the street (Fort Rice, Petersburg)and Elaine and Reid were great friends. Beckie and Elaine shared many loving phone conversations in recent years as they were both enduring lung issues. Our deepest sympathy is given to the family and I know many lives were enriched and blessed by the life of Elaine.

Love,

Beckie & Randy Harvell - Hattiesburg, MS

I will never forget the fun times I had playing Bridge with Elaine and the girls. I was just a substitute but Elaine always made me feel like one of the regulars. She will be missed by all who knew her. My sympathy goes to her husband and family.

Our lives were cherished by knowing Elaine for many years. We have the memories of growing up togther in Petersburg and all the good times we shared as friends/neighbors. Her life was her family/friends and when she talked about her grandkids her face lite up. She will live on in her children and grandchildren. Elaine is our angle watching out over all of us.

Supporting the entire family, but a special show of support for one of the most amazing people we know - Caroline. From the moment I met Caroline she wore her pride and love for her family on her sleeve for everyone to see. May you all find the strength to grieve and cherish. Love, the Coogen Clan (Arlington, VA)
