Elva May Marmann, born 4 December 1920, in Amelia, Virginia, died Sunday, 29 January 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; and her son, Frank Jr. She is survived by her son, John; her daughter, Barb; granddaughter, Kimberly Wiiki; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She served in the Women's Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1944, where she met and married her husband, Frank. She had been a member of Central Baptist Church since 1956 and was the oldest active member there, serving as a welcoming greeter for over 20 years.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, 2 February, at 2 p.m. at the Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Va. 23113. Visitation is scheduled for 12 noon to 2 p.m. preceding the service. A graveside service will be held on Friday, 3 February, 11 a.m. at Dale Memorial Park with military honors.
