She is survived by her son, Billy Brown; daughter, Chris Byard; grandchildren, Gene Byard (Erin), and Jessica Dean and great grandchildren, Simon, Lucy and Oaklan.
Jo was born in Georgetown, SC and moved to Richmond as a teen. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1950, worked at Philip Morris and attended hairstyling school. She was a hairstylist in Stratford Hills for many years.
Funeral services will be private. The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and her private caregivers for her care.
