OBITUARY
Emmett Franklin Perkins
September 24, 1940 – May 27, 2022

CMSGT. Emmett Franklin Perkins, 81, of Midlothian, Virginia died peacefully on May 27, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Linwood Perkins, Jr. and Mabel Kappes Perkins and his brother, Neil Linwood Perkins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Constance "Connie" R. Perkins; and his children, Julie P. Hall and Matthew F. Perkins (Angela); and his granddaughters, Amber Noel Perkins and Megan Indiana Perkins. He is also survived by his sister, Colleen P. Buehler (Thomas) and numerous other family members.
He was a member of Salisbury Presbyterian Church where he sang in the Chancel choir and Joyful Voices Chorus, and participated in numerous mission trips. He was also a former member of Third Presbyterian Church. He was a 30-year veteran of the Virginia Air National Guard, 192 Fighter Group. He was a co-founder and member of the Fine Creek Volunteer Fire Department (Company 4) for 40 years and also a member of the Huguenot Ruritan Club, both in Powhatan County, Virginia. He also had a love for antique cars, trucks, and ice cream.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, June 8, at Salisbury Presbyterian Church, 13621 W. Salisbury Road, Midlothian, Virginia, 23113. Interment will be held at 2pm at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
The family would like to thank Spring Arbor Cottage of Salisbury Memory Care and ProMedica/Heartland Hospice for all of their loving care.
