Emmogene Boyd Dunston

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Anita Jones; her first husband, Vernon H. Boyd Jr.; her second husband, William L. Dunston Jr.; and her sisters, Gloria, Christine, Beverly and Charlotte.

She is survived by her children, Susan Colacino, Kathi Bailey (David), Randy Boyd (Ann); step-son, Bill Dunston; grandchildren, Jenna Gauldin, Erin Golob (Steven), Joshua Bailey, Meigan Bailey, Abbey Bailey and Gabriel Boyd; her sister, Jessie Anna Gray; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Born in Gulfport, MS, the family later moved to Corinth, MS where she lived until she went to Stratford College in Virginia. After college, she moved to New York City where she studied interior design, finally settling down in Richmond, where she met her husband and raised the family. She worked at various furniture stores throughout Richmond until she purchased Candlelit Interiors which she operated until she retired at the age of 91.

A funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 2 at Bon Air Christian Church. Interment will be held at 1pm at Mt. Cavalry Cemetery.
