Estelle Campbell Williams, beloved daughter of Conner and Esther Williams of Midlothian, Virginia, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on May 29, 2026, at the age of 8 months and 24 days.
Though her time on earth was brief, Estelle's life was filled with extraordinary courage, unwavering faith, and immeasurable love. Born on September 5, 2025, she quickly became a source of joy and inspiration to all who knew her. Her beautiful smile, bright eyes, and gentle spirit touched countless lives and brought many people closer to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Despite her many medical battles, Estelle found joy in holding syringes, giving playful side-eyes to her nurses, story time, admiring her hanging mobiles, listening to Disney classical lullabies, swinging at home, posing for pictures for Mommy, handprint and footprint art with the UVA PICU team, holding hands, butterflies, the color pink, cuddles with Mommy and Daddy, and resting on her Daddy's chest after a long day at work.
OUR HEART WARRIOR
Estelle's journey was one of remarkable strength and perseverance. Though she faced more challenges in her short life than many face in a lifetime, she met each one with extraordinary courage.
Throughout her life, she courageously endured five heart surgeries, including four open-heart procedures. She survived two cardiac arrests requiring a total of one hour and eight minutes of chest compressions, one week on ECMO life support, a stroke, and multiple episodes of sepsis. She spent 148 days supported by a ventricular assist device and waited 150 days on the heart transplant list. Altogether, she spent six months and nine days hospitalized, demonstrating a resilience far beyond her years.
Through her courage, faith, and unwavering spirit, Estelle inspired countless family members, friends, medical professionals, and strangers around the world.
One of the most cherished moments in Estelle's faith journey came on December 31, 2025, when she was baptized by Pastor Greg Anderson, just one day after being removed from ECMO. It was a beautiful testimony to God's faithfulness throughout her journey.
In her final hour on earth, Estelle opened her eyes as her mother and father lovingly read her a story. Surrounded by their love and held safely in their arms, Estelle peacefully entered the presence of her Savior, where she was made whole and forever free from pain.
