He was preceded in death by Mother Clara Cosio, Father Jacobo Alonzo, Sister Georgina Zlobinskiy.
He is survived by wife Jacqueline Alonzo, Brother Michael Alonzo and sister-in-law, Annie Alonzo, and his Brother Jack Alonzo
Born January 20, 1969, in Manila, Philippines, he moved to the United States at 10 months old and grew up in Piscataway, NJ. He attended Piscataway High School and Middlesex College before beginning a career in the Food, Beverage, Culinary, and Hospitality Industry. In the early 2000’s, Fabian moved to the San Francisco Bay area to further develop his work in wine and the culinary field. He met his wife and married in 2009, and together they eventually started a Kitchen and Bath Design Company. In 2021, Fabian relocated to RVA to be closer to family.
Fabian found genuine enjoyment in the pleasures of everyday life. He loved wine, cooking, and gardening. From an early age, Fabian embraced community and creativity. In high school, he played football, served in school government, and played drums in the high school band. His love of performance continued as he acted and sang in drama plays, and in college he helped manage a DJ business with friends—an expression of his energy, collaboration, and appreciation for bringing people together. Above all, Fabian was a loving and doting husband, a devoted provider for family and friends, and a proud dog parent. His presence, care, and quiet strength will be deeply missed and sincerely honored by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior.
