What a blessed couple. True admiration for both Glenna and Gene. Glenna just know that he will continue to walk beside and with you till you are together again. Know that we carry you both in our hearts. If there is anything we can do for any of you just say the word. Love always

Jack and Gail.

My name is James P. Heffron Jr. My father, James P. Heffron and Gene served together in Vietnam. Battery B, 2nd Battalion, 19th Artillery, 1st Air Cavalry Division ( Airmobile). In my youth, my father mentioned Gene many times while recounting his experiences, especially about how him and Gene repelled a large enemy force attack on Firebase Jay on 29th March 1970. I had the opportunity to meet Gene and family on one Thanksgiving many years ago when they came to visit us in Youngstown, OH. It was a moving experience for me. My father passed on July 19, 2017. I was saddened to learn of the passing of Gene. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I'm glad he got to experience the joys of raising a family as I can tell by the video he must have been extremely proud. I hope all his family live long lives in peace. Gene, Thank you for your service, WELCOME HOME, and God rest your soul.

Such a great man was Gene. A man that I have looked up to as both a boy and a man; especially once serving in the US Army. I have so much respect for his contributions to this country during his time of service. Rest easy and God Bless.
