He was preceded in death by his parents, George Philip Gassman, Jr and Evelyn Berrey Gassman.
He is survived by his sister Judith Gassman Horne (Linwood).
Philip was a 1971 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he completed his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Philip enjoyed a successful 34 year career with Millhauser/Precon.
He enjoyed model building in his free time, especially WWII airplanes. He was also an avid reader of all types of literature.
Graveside service to be held at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 11:00 am.
