With deepest sympathy to Mr. Hawkins' family. Both Bob & I worked with Tommy for many years. He was such a wonderful man and I know he will truly be missed by all. May all of the wonderful memories of your dad help you through the difficult days ahead.

Vicky and I were very sorry to hear that Tommy passed.  We didn't know Tommy well at all except through you, and we know how devoted you were to him, especially the last years when his health left him.  To us, he seemed a proud Southern gentleman and he loved his children and grandchildren a great deal.  I believe he still does and that he feels your love now in spirit. What a wonderful man!  I met Mr. Hawkins about 2 years ago when he visited the New Kent Girls Softball League and boy what an impression he made on me as well as the girls.   I remember his piercing blue eyes, that wonderful smile and his kindness which is rare these days. I  believe if you were lucky enough to have been part of his life or to have known him you received the remarkable gift of Love.

I met G.T.'s father only one time, but he left a lasting impression of how much father and son were alike!  It was very enjoyable for Tom and I to have dinner with both of them.  So sorry for his loss.
