Glenn was born in Detroit, Michigan, but moved at a young age to Richmond, VA. He was the oldest of his three siblings, Susan (John), Danny (Barbara), and Patrick. In March of 1976 Glenn would marry the love of his life, Trudy Lynn Bendall. In April of 1977, Trudy and Glenn welcomed their one and only child, Allison Marie, affectionately known as his “Alli Boo Boo”. Glenn was a hardworking husband, a fantastic father, and a proud papa. Born with a green thumb, he loved digging in his yard and collecting house plants.
As the years passed on, he would become Uncle Glenn to his adorable nieces and nephews, Riki Anna, Brandon Elizabeth, Logan, Matthew, Cameron, Case, and Emily. Later he would be known as “Uncle G” by his grand nieces and nephews, Madelyn Elizabeth, Ellie Anna, Anna Beth, Preston, Kate, Ryleigh, and Brantley, all of whom he loved immensely.
Glenn was an incredibly talented man and hard worker. Over the years he would work in several places including the Virginia Department of Education, he was an owner operator of his own cafe, and finally his love of being in the yard led him into a career in landscaping.
He loved his many cats, vacationing on the Outer Banks, eating Mexican food (especially the margarita part), working on projects around the house or in the yard, and spending time with his grandson.
The family will receive those who wish to celebrate Glenn from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025. at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel. This will be a celebration of life, so bring your stories and memories of Glenn with you. Light refreshments will be served during the celebration.
