

Glenn grew up in South Hill, Virginia and later in 1953 moved to Richmond with his wife, Evelyn. After jobs as a salesman, then a real estate agent, he started building houses and became a well-regarded and respected developer, primarily in Chesterfield County. Some of the areas he established or had a big hand in developing include homes and neighborhoods in Loch Braemar, Roxshire, Salisbury, Triple Crown, Woodlake, Brandermill, Monacan Hills, Carters Mill, Bay Hill Pointe and many homes in Chesterfield and Henrico.
He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 70 years, Evelyn Wells Hill, who passed in January; and his brother-in-law, Curtis Wells, who passed in 2022; his brothers Horace and Carlton, his sisters, Ellen and Eleanor, and his nephew Charles.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Hill (Pamela) and Mark Hill (Cindy); grandchildren, Shannon (Greg), Brandon (Aly), Erika (Paul); great-grandson, Henry; nieces and nephews, Wayne, Carol, Penelope, Dino, Matt, David, Kristin and Kerry, Jimmy, Ricky, Gary, Michael, Stuart, Anne and Mary.
Glenn grew up in South Hill and moved to Chesterfield. He loved his church family at Lyndale Baptist Church, was a deacon there and contributed many services.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 2 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 10am on Saturday, August 3 at Lyndale Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.
