

Hank was born in 1942, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, to Harry Ford Carpenter and Helen Marie (nee Grant) Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James Carpenter and Kenneth Carpenter.
Hank is survived by his wife, Barbara Jensen-Carpenter; his children, and grandchildren, Theresa Adorno, her husband Anthony, and their children, Angeleigh, Alexis and TJ, Sandra Morrow and her daughter, Amanda, and Patricia Stone and her daughter, Danielle; his step children, James Jensen, his wife Teresa and their children, Emily, Matthew, and Katie, Kathleen (nee Jensen) Richio, her husband, Anthony, and their children, Mary, Dana, Tara, and Ethan, William Jensen, and Robert Jensen and his wife Ardis.
Hank worked for Joseph T. Ryerson Steel Company for 32 years, progressing to the Senior Crane Operator. Hank was passionate about his family, Philadelphia sports teams and team bowling, both in Virginia and Pennsylvania. He loved to tell jokes and was a master at "one liners."
Family and friends are invited to Hank's viewing on Friday, September 13, from 6:30-8:30pm, at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd, Midlothian.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, on Saturday, September 14, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel, Duryea Drive, Richmond, Virginia. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Virginia would be appreciated.
