Isidro "Cid" Aquino Catolico

He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Lourdes; four children – Edmund, Mariel, Mitzi (Michelle) and ‘Owan’ (Joanna); six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and four siblings – Rhettie, Trudo, Noly and Queenie.

Born in Amulung, Cagayan, Philippines on May 15, 1939. He is one of eleven children, graduated with a Foreign Service degree and his career was in pharmaceutical and medical device sales prior to migrating to the United States in 1991. He settled in Virginia and retired after serving several years working for the State. He always considered being a grandfather as his most important job.

Cid enjoyed playing guitar, harmonica, listening to Spanish music, spending time with family, driving his wife around, singing, walking with his friends, doing crossword puzzles and watching filipino soap operas.

The family will receive friends from 3 pm – 5 pm on October 22 and October 23, 2023 at Woody Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 1:00 pm; St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr., North Chesterfield, VA 23114

The family would like to thank the Lord for Cid’s 84 blessed years of fruitfulness and for the memories they created with him. They would like to thank their friends and relatives who have poured their love and sent well wishes to the family.
