Jean Olivette Thompson

Jean O. Thompson passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Thelma Woods; and her younger sister, Sunday Woods. She is survived by her husband, Jack Thompson of Midlothian, VA; son, Steven Dunnagan (Courtney) of Wilmington, NC; daughter, Tammy Dailey of Machesney Park, IL; daughter, Holly Butterfield (David) of Pecatonia, IL; son, John Ingram (Erin) of Chesterfield, VA; daughter, Kami Adamek (Ondrei) of Powhtan, VA; daughter, Kara Holmes (Brent) of Chesterfield, VA; numerous nieces and nephews; eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Born in Ruston, LA on July 14, 1949, she worked since graduating from Pecatonia High School and her last job of note was as Office Manager of Advanced OBGYN for 24 years in Rockford, IL. She loved her family, doted on her grandchildren and loved wrapping pretty presents. She loved playing board games like Monopoly and Dominoes with friends and family. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10th, 2024 at 6pm at Ironbridge Church for Jean’s Celebration of Life, 10900 Ironbridge Rd, Chester, VA 23831. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the American Heart Association. The family would like to thank Ironbridge Church for being family and graciously hosting Jean’s Celebration of Life. She loved God, church and family.
