

TODD, Jeanne Wise, 83, of Bon Air, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was born in Erie, Pa., the daughter of Dr. Frederick and Agnes Wilson Abbott. On July 26, 1952, Jeanne married Ronald Evan Wise, whom she met and fell in love with at Grove City College. They started their married life in New Castle, Pa. During their 26 years together, they welcomed four children and moved to Kings Park, N.Y., before settling in Richmond, Va. in 1973.
After Ron's death in 1978, Jeanne supported her family by working as a part-time secretary at Bon Air Presbyterian Church, and later at the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.
Jeanne was blessed to find love a second time in her life and in June 1994, married Dr. Julian "Jack" Todd. They enjoyed 16 years of laughter, dancing and travel before Jack's death in 2011.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marge Bingler; and brother, Fred Abbott; Ron, beloved father of her children; and Jack, her dancing partner extraordinaire. Surviving Jeanne are her children, Debbie Wing (Dennis) of Kansas, Linda Bollinger (John) of Richmond, Chris Wise (Nancy) of Powhatan and Philip Wise (Carrie) of Midlothian; grandchildren, Emily, Adam, Seth, Hope (Josiah), Nora, Evan, Sarah, Jenna, Ben and Luke; and great-grandchildren, Alison, Noah and Carter.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Her memorial service will be Thursday, July 21, 2 p.m. at Bon Air Presbyterian Church, 9201 W. Huguenot Rd. Interment and graveside service in Oak Park Cemetery, New Castle, Pa., 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23. Memorial contributions may be made to Bon Air Presbyterian Church.
