Obituary of Joseph Anticoli
Joseph (Joe) Anticoli, 77, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at his home in Midlothian, VA on May 19, 2019. Joe was surrounded by his loving wife, Diane (Koryl), son Joey, and a host of friends and family. Joe was also survived by his nephew, Mark Foster (Barbara), sister-in-law Karen Koryl Johnson (Eric), brother-in-law, Ed Koryl and all of those who loved him like a friend, parent or grandparent. Joe was pre-deceased by his parents, Giovani and Marianna (Scrivani), brothers John and Leo, infant sister Leah and mother-in-law Stella Koryl. Joe graduated from Bishop Duffy High School and St. Bonaventure University. Joe met the love of his life Diane and they married in 1967 and were just about to celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary. Joe, Diane and their son Joey moved to Richmond in 1999 where they owned and operated a metal finishing business until his retirement in 2009. Joe loved life to the fullest and made life better for all of those who knew him. He never met a stranger and was happiest entertaining his friends and family. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and humility; his Italian feasts and his home was affectionately known as the “best restaurant” in town. The family would like to thank all of the medical professionals who provided Joe such great care. A Celebration of Life will be held at his church, St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr. North Chesterfield, VA 23235 on June 6th at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association 4217 Park Place Ct. Glen Allen, VA 23060.
