To all of Linda’s friends who offered prayers, love and kindness both to her and her family, I want to thank you with all of my heart. Janelle and Hollis, your notes were so kind as were all those from Linda’s friends and neighbors. Your outpouring of true love and affection for her was so helpful during this time. Linda was such a special person, both as my sister and my friend, and I will miss her more than I could ever adequately describe.John, Scott and David, your care of Linda was extraordinary and truly showed your everlasting love for a wonderful wife and mother. Linda’s love, joy and kindness will be missed by us all. I love all of you who meant so much to her.

Dear John, Scott, David, Danny and all other family members. It’s Janelle Caines Miller from KY. I have been writing to you all a lot since December. Several of you don’t know me but I just wanted to let you all know how special Linda was to me. We were around 12 when we met and she left Ashland at about 15. We did a lot of laughing, talking on the phone, spending the night with each other and walking around our downtown on Saturday afternoons. You know, small town stuff..... We continued keeping up with each other through many, many, snail mails. I visited her in Severna Park, she would come to Ashland and after college I traveled up to NY to visit my sister and Linda in Richmond. That’s when I met John!! We both married and started our lives with our husbands and later on each of us added 2 sons to our families. The Smiths visited us in KY several times, and her brother, Danny in Louisville. She loved you so much, Danny!! Stop and see us anytime Danny. Linda told me that you liked Maker’s Mark. We live 10 miles from there, in Springfield, KY, and both of my sons work there. Newman is the chef and Harrison is the General Manager. We always had the best times when they visited with us. I will miss Linda the rest of my life. I feel so fortunate to have called her 1 of my best friends, even though miles kept us apart for years. Thanks again for doing the Caringbridge site. It helped me during this very, hard time of Linda’s life, so I could pray for her. Also, I could pray for the rest of the family members and her wonderful friends. God bless everyone. Love, joy and peace forever, Janelle and Pat Miller

Dear Danny, I was a friend of Linda's in Ashland, mostly in grade school. She was my bestie for several years, and your parents were wonderful folks as well. I recall many "away" basketball games when your folks generously took me along with Linda to see you and/or Jerry play. I am so sorry they are all gone. I remember so many good things about your family, and Linda in particular. I tried to track you all down several times, as I went to WKU and was in that part of the state for a long time. My husband is a graduate of VCU and was a bartender at the old Warehouse (Sam Miller's Warehouse) before he settled here in Nags Head, NC.
There is a picture of Linda on my bedroom well, as a Hager cheerleader, so I speak to her daily. Please know I am thinking of you, and let me know if you ever visit the Outer Banks. With sincere sympathy and love, Hollis Beloat
