

Lloyd “Buddie” Throckmorton departed this life June 3, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Buddie was preceded in death by his parents Pal & Myrtle Throckmorton and his brothers Jack and Jimmie Throckmorton. He is survived by his devoted wife Carol Throckmorton, his beloved son Johnny Throckmorton, his loving daughter Jeannie Reveley (Jonathan) and his precious granddaughters Scarlett & Audrey Throckmorton and Gabrielle Reveley. He is also survived by his mother and father in-law Stan & Mary Divish, sister-in-law Sandy Fox (Steve), brother in-law Charlie Divish, adopted sister Mary Bright, his nieces Lindsey and Kimberly Fox, Jackie Ingram, and nephews Gene Throckmorton & Stanley Bateman.
Buddie was born and raised in Richmond, VA and spent his career building, remodeling, and renovating homes. He was also a well-known and respected musician in the Richmond area, most recently playing guitar for King Edward and the Bd’s, who were a second family to him. Buddie also taught music at Wholesale Guitars where the owner and son quickly formed a bond with Buddie and they too became family to him. Buddie never met a stranger. He loved people and people loved him. He will be missed by all those who had the privilege to know him.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 5th from 1:00PM-2:30PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2:30PM all to be held at Woody Funeral Home 1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian, VA 23113. Interment will be private.
