

KAY, Louise D, 88, of Richmond, widow of Walter F. Kay, passed away on May 3, 2013, after a lengthy illness of six years spent at The Towers. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she leaves to cherish her memories a devoted and loving daughter, Patricia D. Ferguson (Bill); step-daughter, Betty K. Schall (Larry); two grandsons, R. Christopher Ferguson (Margaret) and Jason S. Ferguson (Kate); two step-grandsons, Michael K. Ross (Mary) and Adam K. Ross; two great-granddaughters, Morgan and Finley Ferguson; two step great-grandchildren, Andrew and Catherine Ross; two sisters, Elizabeth D. Doeppe and Pauline D. Kennedy; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
“TuTu” as she was fondly called by her grandsons was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Nothing gave her more pleasure than, being with her family. She was very active in the ACCA Temple Shrine events for many years along with her husband, Walter, Past Potentate. She also enjoyed traveling to their winter home in Lake Okeechobee, Florida, as well as their summer “getaway” home in Deltaville. The family would like to thank the staff at both The Towers and Hospice Community Care for their kindness, support and thoughtfulness during our time of need, it was much appreciated.
Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Services private. Online condolences to WoodyFuneralHome.com.
