Lowell Thomas Farmer, 86, of Midlothian, Virginia, passed away on July 29, 2026. Born December 25, 1939, Lowell lived a life marked by steady dedication and a generous spirit—qualities that quietly shaped his work, his home, and the many people who were grateful to know him.
Lowell was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Farmer; his mother, Janie Francis Johnson Farmer; and his father, Oliver Thomas Farmer.
He is survived by his current spouse, Wendy Farmer; his daughter, Marjorie Veatch (Kyle); his daughter, Angela Randall (Randy); his son, Brad Farmer (ME); her son Ryan Bardaro (Kristen); her daughter Nicole Sebetic (Matt); and Eighteen Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren, as well as a younger brother, David Farmer (Bertie)
Lowell graduated from Virginia Tech as an electrical engineer, a foundation that reflected both his diligence and his commitment to doing things well. He went on to work at IBM in the field of electrical engineering, bringing a strong work ethic and thoughtful care to the responsibilities entrusted to him. Later in life, he worked for World Book as a processing manager for the eastern part of the U.S., and he concluded his professional journey as a presidential director with Enrich International and Ameriplan—roles that benefited from his reliability, steady leadership, and the kindness he extended in everyday interactions.
Lowell cherished the time he spent with his wife Wendy as it was special in every way. Clearly defining the sentiment of a loving and committed marriage.
A visitation will be held at Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113, on August 2, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at Woody Funeral Home on August 2, 2026, beginning at 3:00 pm.
Lowell will be remembered with deep respect for the life he built through hard work, and with enduring gratitude for the kindness he so consistently showed to others.
