Lucille Marie Rutledge

Lucille Marie Rutledge peacefully went to be with the Lord, on August 12, 2022. Lucy was preceded by her husband Donald O. Rutledge. She is survived by her sons, Mark Rutledge (Peggy) and Craig Rutledge; and her granddaughters, Shannon Gallimore (Matthew), Abigail Rutledge, Calynn Rutledge, Sydnie Rutledge and Shelby Rutledge. Lucy graduated from Tennessee Temple College with a bachelor’s degree in music and her passion was singing for the glory of God. She served one year with her husband as missionaries in the Virgin Islands. She was a member of Winfree Baptist Church for 42 years where she participated in the choir, Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) and served as a GA (Girls in Action) leader. She loved chocolate, working in her yard and feeding the birds. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Tuesday, September 6 at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 7 at Winfree Baptist Church, 13617 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, VA 23113.
