Margaret Louise Randol Brooks

Margaret Randol Brooks of Richmond was born in Staunton, Va in 1912. She was the widow of A.T. Brooks, Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents Sallie Belle Cox and Joseph H. Randol. She is survived by her sons A. Tolson Brooks Jr. of Richmond and H. Randall Brooks, of Montpelier, Virginia. Louise was a graduate from Mary Baldwin College. She taught in Virginia schools for nearly 30 years. After her husband died she volunteered with the Alzheimer’s association and began taking water aerobic classes. Heartfelt thanks to those friends who did so much to make her last years happy, Vivian and Bill Toler, Janet and Mike Duncan, the Heminway family, she loved them all. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Richmond Salvation Army, 2 West Grace Street, P.O. Box 12400 Richmond, VA 23241. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 3 p.m. at the Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel.

I have just seen this and feel a great lost, becuase she did not get to see her great grand nieces and nephews, I will pass this on to my family, to let them know of our loss. My heart goes out to Heywood and Tolson, sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, Cathy Brooks Honan granddauhter of theodore brooks of widewater.

Louise was always cheerful during the classes I taught. She would always do her best and enjoyed being in the company of others in the water
