Though she lived most of her life in Virginia, she was very proud of being a small town girl from Youngsville, Pa. Peggy always had a flair for the dramatic, a serious genealogy hobby, a deep love for her cats and a passion for exploring. To the point of getting lost on purpose sometimes just to see where she'd end up, which she called gallivanting. She was a "people person" who never met a stranger. While raising her girls she was known as the neighborhood mom and later in life became Namma to all. She graduated from VCU with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. She made her living as an interior designer including her own business for a number of years.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Gordon H. & Janet F. Kay, brother, Geoffrey G. Kay, and grandson, Walker D. Blackburn.
She is survived by her children, Kimberley "Kammie" T. Crull (Charles) and Jenne M. Higgins (Chris); four grandsons, W. Chase Crull (Rebecca), Ryan J. Crull (Ashton), Austin S. Crull, Hayden G. Blackburn and one great grandson, Grayson J. Crull; brothers Steven D. Kay (Michelle) and Bruce F. Kay (Karen); five nephews and her cousin & lifelong best friend Diane Becotte (Michael). Peggy was known for her strong will and love for her family. We will miss her hugs, laughter and beautiful blue eyes.
No funeral or memorial services will be held, a private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
